Beliefs

We are a Christian congregation committed to the Bible as the written Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the only way of salvation.

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God and Savior of the world, who is fully divine and fully human, two natures united forever in One Person.

We believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead on the third day, and has ascended to the right hand of God in heaven, securing forgiveness and everlasting life for all His people.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God, fully authoritative in all matters of faith and conduct, and the supreme authority in the Christian Church.

We believe man’s salvation is by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, for the glory of God alone.

We believe Jesus Christ will return bodily from heaven one day to raise all the dead, gather His people to Himself, judge the world, and consummate His redemption.  Until then, we are committed to serving Him together in thankfulness, faith, and love, united in our desire to glorify Him and make disciples of all nations.

We commemorate our belief in Christ’s saving work by means of the two biblical sacraments, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

By the power of the Holy Spirit, we purpose in this life to offer ourselves to God as living sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving because of the great redemption He has freely given us in Christ.

We confess the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian creeds as faithful summaries of the historic, biblically-orthodox faith.

We have adopted the Belgic Confession of Faith, the Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dort as our confessional standards.  We believe these “Three Forms of Unity” faithfully summarize the teachings of the Bible, and that they are fully subordinate to the Bible’s supreme authority.
